You can tell WHEN you are Anxious through symptoms such as: increased heart rate, speaking quickly, avoiding eye contact, sweating and racing thoughts. It’s more difficult to know WHAT causes the anxiety to begin. In therapy with me, we get clear on HOW Anxiety operates in your Nervous System and address it at every step of the process, so feeling Anxious is no longer something you need to fear, because you’ll know it works in your mind and body. Often big displays of Emotion (Anger and Sadness specifically) are regular-sized emotions fueled by Anxiety. As we breakdown the pathway of Anxiety, you will feel less overtaken by strong feelings and able to have more leverage to express yourself in a calmer and clear way.
